Star Plus axes ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’ after nearly five years

Star Plus has decided to pull the plug on its long-running series ‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’, following a steady decline in ratings.

The show, originally a spin-off of the popular ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’ and produced by Ekta Kapoor, enjoyed strong viewership during its early days in the 23:00 time slot. However, recent changes in the airing schedule have contributed to a significant drop in its ratings.

The series, which initially starred Sargun Kaur Luthra and Abrar Qazi, captivated audiences with its engaging storyline. But after the departure of the original leads, new faces Shagun Sharma and Pravisht Mishra took over, marking a shift in the show’s dynamics.

‘Yeh Hai Chahatein’ is set to air its final episode on Wednesday 18th September 2024.
