Ekta Kapoor announces ‘Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2’

Ekta Kapoor has finally broken her silence about the much awaited second season of ‘Bade Acche Lagte Hain’.

The original show aired back in 2011 and proved a romping success. It starred Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar. The new series is rumoured to star Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar.

In a recent social media interaction, Ekta spoke about working with Ram and Sakshi on the popular show, she said, “Bade Achhe Lagte Hai will always stay Sakshi and Ram for me, but it’s a whole generation who are not aware of urban loneliness in the 30s is a thing. Most soaps on television right now are mass-oriented. So, it’s an attempt to make a soft, urban story.”

Without giving much away, Ekta said the new season of the show will not have a female lead as “pretty as Sakshi” and the male lead “looks nothing like Ram”. She added, “It’s a similar story, but of course will give them something new after 10 years.”

Ekta also confirmed that the new promo will come in two days.
