Kapil Sharma’s Netflix show comes to abrupt end due to low ratings?

Kapil Sharma’s much-anticipated OTT debut, ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show,’ premiered on Netflix with high hopes on March 30. However, despite initial excitement, the show failed to leave a lasting impression on viewers, with its audience numbers reportedly dwindling with each passing episode.

The disappointment reached its climax when Archana Puran Singh, one of the show’s key personalities, took to Instagram to announce the abrupt wrap-up of the shooting for the first season. “Season wrap,” she declared in an Instagram story, sparking speculation about the show’s uncertain future.

Confirming the end of shooting for the debut season, Singh shared, “It was great fun and celebration on the sets,” she expressed. “The journey so far on the show has been quite amazing. It was a delightful journey, and we had some amazing times on the sets.”

However, amidst rumors and uncertainty, comedian Kiku Sharda shed light on the show’s status, revealing that while shooting has halted “temporarily,” fans can expect a second season. “We have done 13 episodes, and the second season will come out soon,” Sharda disclosed to News18. He assured fans that the break in filming was part of the plan, emphasizing that the team had already mapped out the next season, which would hit screens without a significant delay.
