The family comedy ‘Saunkan Saunkne’ has proved a runaway success at the box office.
The film, which released on Friday, saw the film break the first day record in East Punjab post the pandemic. It has now garnered the highest second day business for a Punjabi film ever, according to Box Office India.
In data released by the portal, the Ammy Virk, Sargun Mehta and Nimrat Khaira starrer crossed Rs. 3 crore nett across India on Saturday. It beat the second day business of ‘Shadaa’ starring Diljit Dosanjh, which had previously held the record in 2019. ‘Saunkan Saunkne’ has so far collected over Rs. 5 crore.
The film is expected to be declared a blockbuster if the upward trend continues on Sunday. ‘Honsla Rakh’, which released last year, remains the biggest Punjabi blockbuster due to a strong first day.
