The buzz around Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar’s upcoming horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla continues to grow, with confirmation that Tabu has joined the cast of this highly anticipated project.
While Wamiqa Gabbi has been cast as Akshay Kumar’s love interest, PinkVilla reports that Tabu will play a pivotal role, sharing the screen with comedy stalwarts Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, and Asrani.
A source revealed to PinkVilla, “Tabu is reuniting with Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan after their last collaboration on Hera Pheri in 2000. She was drawn to the script, which cleverly blends horror, humour, and Indian mythology. She’s thrilled to be part of Priyadarshan’s unique cinematic world.”
The source further shared, “Bhooth Bangla is shaping up to be one of the most awaited films of 2026, boasting a stellar ensemble cast that includes Akshay Kumar, Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav, and Asrani. The production team is also in talks with other prominent names from the Indian film industry to join the project. Shooting is already underway, and the makers aim to wrap up by April 2025.”
