Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s mother Sunanda Shetty has been granted bail in connection with an alleged cheating case stemming back to 2015.
At the time, the owner of Mervin Automotive had filed a case of cheating against Shilpa’s father Surendra Shetty. It is said that he had undertaken a Rs. 21 lakhs loan from the company. After his demise, Shetty’s family alleged stopped repayments of the loan. The court had stayed the proceedings against Shilpa and Shamita Shetty, while Sunanda continued with the legal wranglings.
Reports say that the judge has granted Sunanda release on a personal bond and surety of Rs. 15,000 or a temporary cash bail of Rs. 25,000.
