Shah Rukh Khan jokingly asks Karan Johar to focus on filmmaking rather than hosting

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan was in high spirits during the press launch of IIFA 2024 on Tuesday, exchanging playful banter with filmmaker Karan Johar on stage.

The two shared light-hearted moments, with Khan praising the success of ‘Stree 2’ while also taking a few humorous digs at Johar.

Khan jokingly urged Johar to focus more on his filmmaking rather than his hosting duties, quipping, “Please come for the rehearsals, Karan. He has told me he will not rehearse. He wants to do it on Zoom. Make some movies also, brother, how much will you host?”

Johar took the comments in stride, and the friendly exchange between the duo brought laughter to the audience.

Reflecting on his connection with IIFA, Khan added, “They have called me just once before. Now they invited me after a decade. I would have always loved to come, but unfortunately, IIFA was hosted at the times when I was shooting.”

Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar will both host the prestigious IIFA Awards, scheduled to take place later this month.
