Salman Khan leads the Bollywood brigade at Baba Siddique’s Iftar party

All roads led to a five-star property located in Bandra, Mumbai last night.

Dressed in a monochrome colour ethnic outfit Bollywood superstar Salman Khan made a grand entry at the Iftar party hosted by Indian politician Baba Siddique.

He was seen jokingly inviting his bodyguard Shera to pose with him for pictures at the red carpet.Later Khan was spotted with his father legendary Bollywood screenwriter Salim Khan.

Members of Khan’s famous ‘Khandaan’ including, Aprita Khan Sharma and her husband Aayush Sharma, Alivra Agnihotri and her husband Atul Agnihotri, Sohail Khan’s son Nirvaan Khan and the “Dabangg” actor’s rumoured ladylove Lulia Vantur also graced the occasion.

Some other celebrities from Bollywood who also attended the Iftar were Preity Zinta, Suniel Shetty, Imran Hashmi, Huma Qureshi and Shilpa Shetty Kundra. Siddique organises the much-awaited Iftar party annually. He has been hosting the star-studded event since years. His guest list comprises of the who’s who from Bollywood and big names from other Indian entertainment industries.

More than anybody fans expect to see one man at the Iftar get-together compulsorily and that is Salman Khan. Bollywood’s “Bhaijaan”, makes time for the party each year along with some of his family members without giving it a miss.

Incidentally, it was at Baba Siddique’s Iftar party in 2013 where Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan ended their feud spanning across years that had allegedly arisen due to an altercation which took place involving both the Khans while they were at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party in 2008. Nearly five years after their ugly spat, in a viral video of both superstars attending the particular Iftar, Salman Khan was seen exchanging pleasantries with guests, as Shah Rukh Khan was seated nearby. Upon seeing Shahrukh, Salman then patted on his back smiling broadly, the latter was completely taken aback as Salman’s action was very unexpected given the bitterness they shared for each other. Shah Rukh Khan however, quickly hugged Salman and the rest is history.

As they say, Ramadan encourages the spirit of unity, brings people of different faiths together and promotes sharing the bounties of God with others.

Bollywood celebrates this month by showcasing camaraderie and putting aside past differences one had with colleagues or friends from the fraternity. It’s a wonderful gesture indeed.

BizAsiaLive.com wishes all its readers Ramadan Kareem.
