Ranveer Singh opts out of Prasanth Varma’s ‘Rakshas’

Ranveer Singh has decided to exit Prasanth Varma’s highly anticipated film ‘Rakshas’. The actor’s departure from the project has come as a surprise to many, especially given his prior involvement in discussions and promotional activities.

An official statement from the production team clarified the situation, stating, “Yes, it’s true that Prasanth approached Ranveer for a film in his cinematic universe. It will be his immediate next project after HanuMan. Ranveer is interested and it’s almost confirmed but nothing is finalised yet.”

Singh was initially expected to commence work on ‘Rakshas’ in July 2024. He was even spotted visiting Hyderabad for a photoshoot, presumably to announce the film. However, despite the preliminary engagements and growing anticipation, the collaboration has not materialised as planned.
