Narendra Modi extends support to Ekta Kapoor’s ‘The Sabarmati Report’

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has publicly extended his support to the recently released and highly debated film, ‘The Sabarmati Report’.

Billed as one of the year’s most controversial films, ‘The Sabarmati Report’ faced significant hurdles prior to its release. The original director, Ranjan Chandel, stepped down from the project due to concerns about the subject’s sensitivity. The film’s lead actor also faced death threats and online trolling following comments made during an interview.

Prime Minister Modi commended the film for shedding light on important truths, stating, “A false narrative cannot endure indefinitely; ultimately, the truth prevails.” His remarks came as a response to a social media post from a viewer who shared their thoughts after watching the movie.

Producer of the film, Ekta Kapoor, overwhelmed by the Prime Minister’s recognition, reshared his comments and expressed her heartfelt gratitude, thanking him for his kind words and support of the film.
