Mrunal Thakur replaces Sonakshi Sinha in ‘Son of Sardaar’ sequel

Mrunal Thakur has stepped in to replace Sonakshi Sinha in the eagerly anticipated sequel to the action-comedy ‘Son of Sardaar’.

The film will see Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt reprising their iconic roles, with production set to begin soon on a 50-day shoot in Scotland.

A source told Mid-Day, “While the two were at loggerheads with hilarious results in Son of Sardaar, this time, their rivalry will be intense, with Sanjay’s role leaning towards the antagonist.”

The cast will be filming action and drama sequences in the picturesque towns of Glencoe and Glenfinnan, as well as at scenic locations such as Culross Palace, Doune Castle, Preston Mill, and Falkland Palace. Additionally, Ajay and Mrunal’s romantic tracks will be shot amidst the stunning Scottish landscapes.
