In Video: Trailer of ‘Umro Ayyar: A New Beginning’

Based on the classical Urdu-Persian novel Hamzanama’s character of Umro Ayyar, a thief and legendary warrior of Tilism-e-Hoshruba, from the beloved Dastan-e-Amir Hamza, is set to make a cinematic debut in an eagerly awaited film adaptation titled ‘Umro Ayyar: A New Beginning’.

Amar, descendant of the legendary Umro Ayyar, a cunning warrior of Persian folklore, is a quantum mechanics professor in Pakistan. Surviving a Jinn attack, his third eye opens, revealing the hidden energy matrix interwoven with humanity and Jinn. Intrigued, he seeks the true nature of energy, blending ancient wisdom with modern science. As he navigates this dual reality, he discovers his lineage’s profound responsibility in maintaining balance. With wit inherited from Umro Ayyar, he ventures into a realm where fable meets reality, determined to unravel mysteries that transcend time and space.

The trailer blends old mythology with modern cinematic methods like CGI and VFX to create a visually stunning and captivating story. Fans and followers are already anticipating and feeling excited about the first-ever animated Pakistani film after watching the trailer.

Starring an ensemble cast of Sanam Saeed, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Usman Mukhtar, Faran Tahir, Ali Kazmi, Adnan Siddiqui and Sana Nawaz. The film’s production values and the talent of its cast are expected to set a new benchmark for Pakistani cinema.

The film is all set to release worldwide in theaters on Eid-ul-Adha, 2024.
