Bhumi Pednekar in Red Chillies Entertainment’s ‘Bhakshak’?

Speculation today has pointed towards Bhumi Pednekar being signed for Red Chillies Entertainment produced ‘Bhakshak’.

It’s thought that the film is to be based on the Muzaffarpur shelter home case from 2018. In the case, a number of young girls faced physical and sexual abuse and it concluded with the accused, Brajesh Thakur, being handed a life sentence in January 2020.

Pednekar has stepped into the role but it’s thought there was talk previously with the project being made with Arjun Kapoor in the lead role. However, it will now apparently be a female-led movie.

Penekar has just begun the final schedule of Akshay Kumar’s next, ‘Raksha Bandhan’ in Delhi
