Lyca Radio launches across Greater Manchester

Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester has officially launched, marking a significant milestone in the North West England’s broadcasting landscape. The station, which replaces the Asian Sound Radio brand, is now available on 963AM, 1377AM, DAB, and various digital platforms, offering listeners a diverse range of content tailored to their interests and preferences.

With its launch, Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester aims to provide a fresh and dynamic listening experience for audiences across the region. By replacing the Asian Sound Radio brand, the station signals a new era in Asian broadcasting, offering a blend of music, talk shows, news updates, and community-focused content designed to resonate with the diverse communities of North West England.

Listeners can tune in to Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester on traditional AM frequencies, as well as on DAB and digital platforms, ensuring accessibility for audiences across the region. The station’s presence on multiple platforms reflects its commitment to reaching a broad audience and serving as a vital source of entertainment, information, and connection for the community.

The launch event, held on Monday 22nd April at the Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester Broadcasting House in Southall Street, Manchester, was attended by distinguished guests, including Cllr Luthfur Rahman OBE – Deputy Leader of Manchester City Council, Cllr Basit Sheikh, commercial partners, and past and presenters and staff.

The event marked an exciting moment for the station and the North West community, showcasing Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester’s commitment to fostering meaningful connections and celebrating the region’s cultural diversity.

As Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester takes its place on the airwaves, it looks forward to building meaningful connections with listeners, advertisers, and community partners across the North West of England. Lyca Radio – Greater Manchester secured five launch partners including Tilda, BuzzEV, Jaimin Snacks, Koka Noodles and Royal Chai.
